New Year, New Vision: What 2024 Taught Me, and How I’m Building 2025 with Flexibility, Faith, and Fuel

Hey friend! Happy New Year! If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for sticking with me. Your notes, listens, and DMs remind me why I do this work: you care about your growth, and you keep showing up. That means everything.

Today, I’m recapping my very human 2024 and laying out a clear, flexible vision for 2025. One you can adapt for your own life, pageant prep, leadership, or business. If last year felt heavy, this one’s for you.

A Real 2024 Recap: The Highs, the Lows, and the Lessons

The hard stuff.
My family walked through a devastating loss that reshaped the second half of the year. On top of grief, I faced a handful of personal health scares that bled right into the new year. Multiple ER visits, an ICU stay, fainting spells, the whole “this is scarier than it sounds” package. Healing took longer than my perfectionist brain wanted to allow.

The bright spots.

• The Fearlessly Authentic App launched on iOS and Android (download it if you haven’t!).
• Our Fearlessly Authentic Mastermind (FAM) grew like crazy and clients had a banner year.
• We hit 4,500+ listens across 30 episodes of last season’s content and reached audiences in 37 countries and territories.
• I got my first international coaching inquiry (surreal and very cool).
• My husband and I celebrated our one-year anniversary in Italy—Rome, Sorrento, Positano, Taormina. Breathtaking.

What I learned.
I veered out of my lane. By summer, I was burned out, over-invested in outcomes I couldn’t control, frustrated by things outside my scope, and measuring my worth by my productivity. That cocktail led to shame and slowed down my healing. Not fun. Necessary, though, because it forced a reframe:

Staying in my lane protects my peace.
I coach mindset, communication, and service. That’s my lane, and it’s where I’m most effective.

The Mindset Shift That Saved Me

When life gets… a lot… three things matter:

1. Radical acceptance + grace.
   Not as a slogan, as a practice. Practicing grace doesn’t mean you suddenly feel better; it means you consistently choose kinder thoughts and behaviors, even when they don’t “work” right away. You have to have grace about giving yourself grace.
2. Back-to-basics self-care.
   Extra sleep. Therapy weekly or every other week. Gentle movement when possible. Hydration and simple, nourishing food. Not glamorous, effective.
3. Faith in the bounce-back.
   I’ve faced hard things before and risen. That track record matters. Growth is rarely linear, but it is real.

Personal Growth = Brand Growth

My life changed, so my business needs to change with me. If you’ve heard me coach on platforms and CSIs, you already know this truth: your brand, goals, and service work must evolve alongside you.

A quick throwback from my pageant journey:

• I once tried to “save the world” with my first platform. It was meaningful – and it burned me out.
• I pivoted to Empowering Women: Mind, Body & Soul, which was healing and life-giving, and I saw real success.
• Later, I returned to my brother Tyler’s story with a healthier lens – Tyler’s Legacy: The Impact of Substance Use on the Family, and created deep connection and impact through vulnerability.

Bottom line: We grow. Our work should, too. If your initiative, brand, or job is draining you, that’s data. Pivoting isn’t quitting; it’s honoring the person you are today.

A Quick Gut-Check for Your 2025 Vision

Grab a journal and try these:

• Objective self-assessment: Who are you right now – without judgment? Where are you strong? Where are you stuck?
• Experience inventory: What in 2024 shaped you – wins, mistakes, setbacks, education, healing? What value do those experiences create for others?
• Aligned action: What needs to start, stop, or shift so your goals match your growth?
• Permission to be flexible: Plans are living things. Flexibility reduces pressure, which increases energy and creativity, and you’ll get more done.
